Ratchet load binders are used with ratchet chains to create tension in a tie-down assembly. Load binders are often used for load transport and other temporary heavy-duty securements that require chains.

Chains can be attached to ratchet load binders by looping onto the hooks on either side. The binder is tightened by using a ratchet to create tension within the chain – which can be released as needed.
